the only possible orientations are: pointing at B and pointing up (which goes to see which wouldn't make sense because there is no beam coming from C) or pointing at B and pointing down (which does make sense because the beam is coming from the left side from the previous node). Since the arrows are at a right angle, we know that the entry point cannot be the line coming in from the left. The other head needs to point to the beam entry point. So we turn the crank so one arrow is pointed at B (the right side in the diagram) which is the exit point. The other two lines coming out of the last node exit from the top (to C) or right (to B). If you look at the last node in the diagram, it can enter either from the left side or from the bottom. So I figured that the two arrows on the things that you turn correspond to a beam entry point and beam exit point. You also know the the beam is going to enter the node in one place and exit in another place (because you've seen the green beams in action before in the swamp). You figure that out by looking through the door and seeing that the pipe is pointed at B.Īccording to the map on the wall, the beam goes straight from the last orb/node/lens to B.
